These Terms govern access to and use of the POOL CAB mobile application, poolcab.in and related services.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms form an agreement between you and Car Pool, the operator of POOL CAB. By creating an account, accessing or using POOL CAB, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms and must comply with applicable laws and any eligibility requirements shown in the app.

2. Service description

Car Pool operates POOL CAB, a digital platform that helps passengers discover and book seats on journeys published by participating drivers. Features may include route search, ride publication, seat booking, journey history, notifications and post-confirmation contact actions.

Ride availability depends on participating drivers, assigned routes, dates, departure times and seat capacity. We do not guarantee that a ride will be available for every search or that every requested journey will be completed.

3. Account responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information, keep it reasonably current, protect access to your mobile number and OTP, and notify support about suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

Accounts may be restricted or blocked where reasonably necessary to address suspected fraud, unlawful conduct, safety or security concerns, repeated misuse, inaccurate information, or violations of these Terms.

4. Passenger responsibilities

Passengers must review route, pickup, drop, date, time, seat and fare information before booking; provide accurate booking information; arrive at the agreed pickup point on time; communicate respectfully; and follow applicable laws.

Driver contact is intended to be available only within a relevant confirmed booking. Contact information must not be misused, copied for unrelated purposes or used to harass another person.

5. Driver responsibilities and approval

Driver Mode requires administrative approval. Approval may be rejected, restricted or withdrawn when reasonably necessary to operate or protect the service. Administrative approval controls access to Driver Mode; it is not a guarantee of identity, licensing, insurance, vehicle condition, safety or service quality.

Drivers are responsible for maintaining all licences, registrations, permits, insurance, vehicle condition and other requirements applicable to their journey. Drivers must publish accurate route, date, time and seat information, manage confirmed bookings responsibly, and comply with applicable transport and safety laws.

If Driver Mode access is withdrawn, related published rides may be removed or made unavailable.

6. Bookings, cancellations and payment

Review the pickup, drop, date, time, seats and displayed fare carefully before booking. Book wisely: POOL CAB coordinates carpool journeys, and a driver or passenger may sometimes need to cancel or change their plans. A confirmed booking does not guarantee that the journey will take place. Check booking updates and use the available contact options to confirm arrangements, especially for time-sensitive travel.

A booking is confirmed only when the app displays successful confirmation. If you cannot travel or provide the ride, use the available cancellation controls promptly so the other participants can make alternative arrangements. Contact support if you cannot cancel in the app or need help with a cancellation or disputed amount.

Passengers must pay the displayed ride fare to the driver only after completing the journey. No advance payment is required for a passenger ride. Drivers must not request an advance payment, and passengers should not send one. The current ride payment method is cash after the journey; POOL CAB does not collect an advance passenger fare through the app. If anyone asks for an advance, report it to support.

If the journey is cancelled before it starts, there is no completed-journey fare to pay. For an interrupted journey or a disputed amount, contact support with the booking details. Nothing in these Terms limits rights available under applicable law.

7. Acceptable conduct and safety

You must not use POOL CAB to:

  • Harass, threaten, discriminate against or harm another person.
  • Publish false journey information or make fraudulent bookings.
  • Use contact information for an unrelated purpose.
  • Interfere with the app, bypass access controls or attempt unauthorised access.
  • Violate transport, traffic, consumer, privacy or other applicable laws.
  • Carry out unsafe, illegal or abusive conduct.

POOL CAB is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service. Users must apply personal judgement before and during a shared journey.

8. Third-party services, availability and responsibility

The service may depend on third-party cloud hosting, databases, maps, place search, OTP, telephone, mobile-network and notification services. Their availability and terms are outside our direct control.

Google Maps and Places: POOL CAB includes Google Maps Platform features and content through Google Places for place, pickup and drop selection. Your use of these Google Maps features and content is subject to the current Google Maps End User Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy, incorporated here by reference for those features and content.

We aim to provide a useful and reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted, error-free or universally available access. Features may be changed, suspended or removed for maintenance, security, legal or operational reasons.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, POOL CAB is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from service interruption, inaccurate information provided by a user, or conduct outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Intellectual property, changes and contact

The POOL CAB name, website design, app interface, content and related materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use them only as needed to access the service and may not copy or exploit them without permission.

We may update these Terms when the service, law or operating practices change. The updated date will be shown here. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of India. For questions, email jplsingla@gmail.com or call 76963-06775. The same details are available on the Contact page.

10. Parcels, profile content and safety controls

Parcel booking is available on supported published rides. Send only basic, everyday items of low monetary value. Do not send cash, jewellery, expensive electronics, original identity documents or other valuable or irreplaceable items. Illegal, dangerous or hazardous items are not permitted. Enter accurate sender/recipient contact information, weight and delivery instructions, pack items appropriately, and confirm acceptance and handover arrangements with the driver. Parcel capacity does not consume passenger seats. The app shows the charge before confirmation: ₹200 up to 15 kg, then ₹50 for each started additional 5 kg. Passenger ride fares are payable in cash only after the journey, with no advance passenger payment. Confirm parcel payment and delivery arrangements with the driver before handover. For a missing, damaged or undelivered parcel, contact support promptly with the booking details. Applicable legal rights remain unaffected.

Driver names and cropped profile photos are user-provided content visible to signed-in ride viewers after approval. Upload only content you are entitled to use. Do not upload impersonation, nudity, hateful or abusive content, unlawful material or another person's private documents. A Driver Mode badge represents admin approval, not a promise of identity matching, licensing, insurance or safety.

Use the in-app Report control for objectionable profiles/content or interactions. Authorised staff can review reports and use existing account restriction/Driver Mode controls. Personal Block/Unblock controls affect public content and future bookings between the accounts. They do not automatically cancel a confirmed ride/parcel, change its fare or seats, or remove the existing booking's necessary contact/cancellation support. A report is not an emergency service and does not guarantee immediate staff action.

Driver profile photos use Google Cloud Vision face detection/cropping after the separate in-app explanation and agreement. Aadhaar is handled separately for private admin review; face cropping is not Aadhaar identity matching or generative AI. See the Privacy Policy for processing and provider information.
